HatBox is a design studio. I, Chris Meeks, am the owner and designer. I've been designing user interfaces and websites for over a decade, many of them leading to huge user growth, profitable acquisitions, and millions in funding. I’ve designed iOS apps, responsive web apps, and websites for clients in almost every industry, including: banking, payments, health, booking, music, consumer brands, education, social, enterprise, SaaS, messaging, and many more. Design has tremendous business value, the amount of which differs wildly from project to project. I want what’s in the best interest of my clients and their users, so I’ll only take on projects where my fees are less than the business value of my design work.
As Mike Monteiro says, “we’re responsible for the work we put into the world.” I only work with clients that I can ethically stand behind. They must put people first and embrace empathy.
I work diligently and relentlessly on behalf of my clients. These are hard problems to solve, so I think deeply about the problem to deliver an effective user experience on time and on budget. I’ve been running HatBox since 2008 and have outstanding relationships with my clients because they know I’m working my butt off trying to help their business grow. And it’s worked!
Chris is an excellent designer – one of the best I've worked with. He knows how to take a good idea and transform it into a phenomenal product. I'm sure we'll work on more great projects in the future.
